Description
American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 1+ year of MRI experience and active ARRT(MR) certification for a 13-week travel assignment in St. George, UT.
Details
- Work in a hospital-based MRI department
- 4x10-hour day shifts, variable scheduling Monday through Friday
- Administers IV contrast (gadolinium) under radiologist or physician supervision
- Uses Epic for charting
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of MRI experience required
- Active ARRT registration with MR credential — ARRT RT(R)(MR) or ARRT RT(MR) required
- BLS certification (AHA) required; must not expire prior to assignment start
- Utah State License required if applicable
- DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Performs MRI examinations per department protocol, including proper patient identification, order verification, and preparation
- Selects scanning techniques and protocols in coordination with the radiologist
- Demonstrates proficiency with electronic imaging including image viewing, transfer, archiving, and manipulation
- Maintains working knowledge of MRI scanner operations including startup, shutdown, and troubleshooting procedures
- Adheres to MRI safety policy, the Four Zone concept, and proper MR magnet safety protocols
- Completes all required documentation including time stamps, image storage, consents, and quality control records
- Post-hire expectation: IV certification competency must be met within 3 months
- Post-hire expectation: Where applicable, controlled substance and moderate sedation modules must be completed within 6 months
- Candidates who have worked permanently at any facility in the Intermountain system must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
