Description
NKC Health is seeking a board certified, fellowship trained Cardiothoracic Surgeon to do general thoracic and cardiac cases. Robotic lung surgery experience is preferred.
Join this physician-led, governance structure guiding the expansion of comprehensive cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgery services at NKC Health, a nontransplant center.
Established cardiac/TAVR program with cardiac anesthesiology and employed cardiology group of 18 (including 4 Interventionalists and 3 Electrophysiologists), plus 14 APRNs. There are 3 PAs, 1 NP, 1 RN and 1 MA dedicated to CT Surgery.
Newly renovated cardiac cath lab has four rooms, including a state-of-the-art hybrid room. There are three Cardiothoracic surgical suites, with the CVOR adjacent to a dedicated CVICU and PCU one floor below. Practice location is on the hospital campus making surgery, rounds and clinic efficient. PAs take first call. There are 3 Da Vinci Robots and a busy pulmonary service with an Ion robot.
Comprehensive Cardiac Center certification through TJC and Chest Pain Accreditation with 24/7 STEMI coverage. All services are provided at NKC Health, 451-bed, level 2 trauma center with 21,000 admissions and 72,000 emergency room visits annually. Fully integrated EMR is Cerner. Magnet-designation.
