Join Us
The Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at Saint Louis University School of Medicine is recruiting a vascular and endovascular surgeon to join our full-time faculty. This is a clinically focused academic position. You will build a broad general vascular practice at a high-acuity tertiary referral center and teach the next generation of vascular surgeons. You will join a collegial division of six vascular surgeons, including one based full-time at the John J. Cochran VA Medical Center.
Our division has trained vascular fellows since 1983 and is one of the longest-standing training programs in the Midwest. We sponsor both an ACGME-accredited 0+5 integrated residency and a 5+2 independent fellowship. As faculty, you will work with motivated residents and fellows every day.
The Practice
- General vascular surgery. The practice spans the full range of open and endovascular care: aortic disease (including EVAR, TEVAR, complex arch, thoracoabdominal branch/fenestrated grafts and open aortic surgery), cerebrovascular disease, peripheral arterial disease and limb salvage, venous disease, dialysis access and vascular trauma.
- High-acuity referral center. SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital is a Level 1 Time Critical Diagnosis center for trauma, stroke and STEMI. It receives complex vascular referrals from across Missouri and Illinois.
- Modern facilities. The hospital is a state-of-the-art academic medical center that opened in 2020 with multiple hybrid operating rooms.
- Regional reach. You will practice at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital and at SSM Health facilities across the St. Louis region. This gives you both a tertiary academic practice and a strong community referral base.
Academic Opportunities
Teaching integrated vascular surgery residents, vascular surgery fellows, general surgery residents and medical students
Participation in industry-sponsored and investigator-initiated clinical trials, including endovascular PAD trials, venous trials, aortic trials and device trials
