- Abdominal Transplant and Hepatobiliary Fellow
Description
This is a two-year fellowship in abdominal transplantation and hepatobiliary surgery with a start date of August 1, 2027. It is comprehensive training in adult and pediatric liver and kidney transplantation as well as hepatobiliary surgery at a busy academic center. The training will include living donor liver and kidney transplantation with training in robotic donor nephrectomy. The fellow will also gain exposure to pancreatic transplantation. Pediatric rotations will take place at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles, one of the biggest and most renown centers for pediatric transplantation in the United States. Adult transplantation and hepatobiliary rotations will occur at University of Southern California, Keck Hospital of the School of Medicine. Fellows are encouraged to do research in the field and provided resources to pursue their research interests. Fellows can expect to obtain ASTS certification in liver and kidney transplantation as well as hepatobiliary surgery by the completion of fellowship.
Requirements
California medical license, US citizenship or green card (unfortunately, we are unable to sponsor visas at this time), and graduation from an ACGME accredited general surgery program
