Description
StaffMed Health Partners has partnered with one of the large healthcare systems in Dallas to assist them with recruiting an experienced Physician Assistant (PA) to Join a dynamic Cardiothoracic Surgery team. You will work alongside 2 experienced surgeons and 3 other PAs. This is a high-autonomy role focused on full-spectrum adult cardiac care—pre-op, intra-op, post-op, and outpatient follow-up—at a flagship hospital in Dallas.
Practice Highlights:
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of surgeons, APPs, and specialists
- First-assist in OR, manage pre- and post-operative care, ICU/step-down rounding
- Focused support of one lead surgeon, with shared call (1:4 weekday and 1:4 weekends)
- Perform procedures including vein harvesting, chest tube removal, wound care, and line removal
- Mix of inpatient and outpatient care

Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with NCCPA certification
- Minimum 2 years of Endovascular Vein Harvesting (EVH) experience required
- 2–3 years of experience in cardiothoracic surgery, critical care, or related surgical specialty
- BLS, ACLS, and DEA registration required
- Strong clinical skills in managing complex surgical patients, both inpatient and outpatient
- Excellent communication, procedural, and EMR documentation skills, with the ability to work autonomously in a high-acuity setting
