Surgical Technology Instructor/Program Coordinator LOCATION: Preference given to someone within commuting distance of Devils Lake, ND or Grand Forks ND. Will consider an exceptionally qualified person to work remotely. WHO MAY BE CONSIDERED: Must be eligible to work in the United States. There is no sponsorship for this position. TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: This is a full-time, 10-month, benefited position. BACKGROUND CHECK: LRSC requires a successful background check for the selected candidate prior to beginning employment. JOB SUMMARY:The Surgical Technology Instructor/Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the colleges Surgical Technology program. This position combines leadership, instructional, and administrative duties to ensure the program meets the required standards, prepares students for successful careers, and aligns with current healthcare industry needs. The coordinator provides online instruction to traditional students and apprentices and will coordinate and facilitate clinical and lab instruction, guide curriculum development, and facilitate student success initiatives. As a healthcare professional with experience as a surgical technologist, the coordinator brings real-world insight to the role, ensuring course content reflects best practices in the operating room. This position also serves as a liaison with clinical sites, supervising student placements and maintaining strong relationships with hospitals and surgical centers. The position reports to the VP for Academic Affairs and will collaborate with college leadership to meet institutional goals, manage program budgets, and support student recruitment and retention efforts. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS could include any combination of education and experience necessary to meet the objectives of the job summary listed above and be faculty qualified according to LRSC Policy. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills are required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Masters level healthcare professional with current or previous certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST preferred) and experience as a surgical technologist with prior teaching experience. SALARY: $50,000 - $67,000, depending on education and experience.
