Description
The Medical College of Wisconsin Department of Surgery, Division of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery section of Community General Surgery, is seeking a candidate for a Faculty Appointment as a General Surgeon. This position is within the Community General Surgical group which serves both Froedtert Menomonee Falls and Froedtert West Bend hospitals. We are comprised of nationally and internationally renowned, dedicated group of faculty and staff with a strong commitment to clinical care.
Position Highlights
- We have an established General Surgical program that will also foster the growth of a new general surgical practice.
- Participate in the clinical education of fellows, residents, medical students, and other trainees.
- Contribute to a patient-centered approach to delivery of care and engage in a climate of inquiry, quality, and safety. 
 Physician engagement and wellness is a core focus area for Froedtert and MCW.
- Value highly placed on multiple avenues for academic pursuits including research, quality improvement, and education.
- This will be a full-time faculty position within the MCW Division of Trauma/Acute Care Surgery section of Community General Surgery
- This position is being recruited at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.

Requirements
- Medical degree (MD, DO, or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification (or eligibility) in General Surgery (additional Surgical Critical Care board certification/eligible preferred but not necessary).
- State medical licensure, or eligibility to obtain license, in the state of Wisconsin.
- Rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful finalist.
- Candidates must have interest in developing a Elective General Surgical practice based primarily at FMF hospital but includes time conducting elective general surgery clinic at Froedtert Hospital and surgery at the Froedtert Ambulatory Surgery Center. This includes access to robot-assisted platforms as well.
